The RBTA move to this large piece of rock, it sit near the bottom of the piece of rock on the sandbed. It didnt have enough light, so, I clean my tank, and I redo my rock, flipping it up side down, so the RBTA on top and would get more light. It there for a day, but I wake up this morning, it has move to somewhere with less light and not the position I wanted it at. I want it to have more light and flow. Should I move it to a piece of island rock? Then week or so later move that piece of rock to my other rock? Help please, any tip or trick all welcome... Thanks

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Just leave the anemone where it is. As long as it's not in danger of moving into a power head or an overflow or heater.

It will go where the flow and lighting are ideal for it, and moving it around or fussing with the rock work will only stress it out more.

Not uncommon for a BTA to seek areas of lower lighting for awhile.

Thank Corailline, I have a Sebae week ago and I let it move where it want to, it end up under piece of big rock, with almost no light, I let the Sebae sit in there for about 2 weeks, I found it DEAD when I clean my tank yesterday. It smell so bad so I throw it away, I think it DEAD. I dont want it to happen to my RBTA.

A Sebae is a whole different ball game, not an anemone I would attempt as a newer hobbyist nor would I get one now unless I had a mixed reef and started out with a healthy specimen. That is the problems with Sebae, a difficult anemone to acclimate and almost impossible if you are somewhat new to the hobby and do not start out with an excellent specimen.

Your anemone has already been stressed, but BTA can take a lot abuse compared to an Sebae. You very well might eventually loose the BTA but I can say with a good amount of certainty that moving it, or messing with it would create more stress for it, it's like picking the lesser of 2 evils.

Post an image of your BTA and please mention the lighting again if you will, and lets see exactly what we are talking about.

As it has been said... If it picks a place stop moving it. Let it go where it wishes. That's like putting a fish in your tank and trying to keep it in one cave where you want it at all times. As with all living things in your tank it is almost a safe bet that nothing will do what you want it to. At this point if you didn't want something wondering around your tank you probably shouldn't have gotten it to begin with because BTA will wonder.

Anyway, with the damage it has managed to get, it needs to anchor down somewhere it finds comfortable and just heal. Even if it is somewhere you don't want it as long as it doesn't end up in a power head again.
