My RBTA has been in the tank just over a week now, about 10 days to be exact. He's settled right were I figured he would and has finally started to come out instead of hiding all day in his little cave. His foots really well attached and he's a beautiful color.

His mouth however is now a bit open...
This concerns me because that was one of the things I checked for when I purchased him. Then his mouth was shut tight and looked very healthy. Should I feed him? What's wrong?

    Nitrates <5
    Ammonia 0
    Nitrites 0
    Calcium 430
Phosphates 0 (I think this might be false because I have a few spots of GHA)
    Salt 1.025
    Ph 8
    Temp 79

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The oral opening does not seem to be gaping to me.

When anemones have stubby tentacles like that to me it looks like a sign of insufficient lighting coupled with insufficient feedings.

If it were my anemone I would feed it once a week, a small 1/4 inch piece of raw sea food like fish, scallops or squid.

This is the first time my anemone has been out of the cave for a significant amount of time with the lights on. It's acclimation behavior has kept it from getting proper lighting.

After some research I decided to try and feed it some mysosis shrimp since they would be easy for it to digest.

It at PERFECTLY! It's mouth swelled as soon as the food was placed on its disk, and I made a discovery!

It's now has TWO MOUTHS! Must be splitting! It's surface was nice and sticky and it devoured the shrimp. I'm going to feed it a silverside tomorrow.
