    Hello,

I usually post on RC, (apparently a big mistake).

Recently, one of the many moderators PM'd me about the length of my sig on RC.
If you have a limit to your sig length, there should ba a max length etc.

So I PM'd back asking for the posted forum rule about sig lengths.
I then erased my sig, and posted the warning for my sig in my profile.
When I tried to log back on a few days ago, I said I was permantently banned and that the person doing it 'wasn't amused' at my new sig.

I mean really? A permanent ban from the site for a joke?
I think whether they were male or female, it must have been their time of the month!
Talk about an illusion of some sort of level of power going to someones head! A permanent ban for posting their warning as my sig?

We have have heard of their mods being sensitive. Sorry to hear of your troubles. I think that was a funny reaction you had. You have a much better home here with 3Reef in many of our minds.

Congrats! You should be proud, you've earned your RC badge.

The mods here do not let BS stick around but they are fair and do not abuse the "power" Matt has given them. You actually have to break the rules to get banned. Meaning it will happen if the reason is valid, not just because the Mod is having a bad day.

A permanent ban might be extreme but I see their point of view. You mocked them by putting their warning in your sig.

yeah i was banned from AA because they thought i bumped a thread(i didnt) they also said i was too social because of my off topic posting. they expected members not to form any kind of social relationships with other members. it sucked because i was an establishe dmember with many posts and a good rep. oh well, i like it here. it was three strikes your out there. hey matt! can you give me a link to the site rules so i can make sure i know what im doing? thanks.:)

ha ha. I can understand that there are certain times where a mod has to be serious though in your case this is silly. Thanks for the amusement :)

P.S...sorry to hear about your results

Matt you bring up a good point that the OP was. At the same time there are better ways to resolve an issue then by using your power. For example, explain to the OP what he did and how it looks, just maybe the OP didnt see it that way and it was a misunderstanding. From there the mod could have asked him to remove it and if not let him know what the consenquences would be. Just my two cents

man, i wish the mods at AA would here that and let me back on. what they did is this:

    1. warning for being of topic with two other people
    2. infraction for one off topic post where i mentioned my dog.
    3. infraction again for an off topic post where all i said was "lol!!!" because someone elses post was funny
    4. infraction for bumping a thread. what i actually did was say "+1" because i was aggreeing with another post. they called it random letters and banned me perminantly.

    it makes me mad..:rifle::furious2::furious2::uzi:

RC is notorious for handing out infractions and banning folks over the stupidest things. the simple fact that you cant mention or link any info from another forum is a nice example of their nazi isms.

Welcome to 3reef, all nice folks here, and no 'know it all' attitudes either.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Forums are privately owned and operated. You play by their rules or you do not play.

Yep I have infractions on RC for really simple stuff. I enjoy the site from time to time and now know the limitations. Every forum has different personalities you either mesh or you do not.

Long story short mods here rock!!!!!!

Most find a forum that meets their needs and personalities you just have to try on a few.
I will say that bashing one forum over another on any forum is usually frowned upon even if it's original intent was to be humorous.
