Anyone into them? I have always wanted a gas powered rc car and came up on a CL deal today... wanted to get some insight.

I rcurrently rce for fun, electric cars, from the Traxxas stable, both run at 50mph as standard, but can achieve 90+ when running bigger batteries and motors, the acceleration and torque in amazing on the newer electric cars.
Used to race a Kyosho pure 10 nitro 2 speed, about 10 years ago, with a top speed of about 85 mph, very cool, very fast and great fun, and ran tamyia 1/10 carpet racers, with digital speed controllers and bigger battery packs with my sons, we had some great days out and spent loads of money and time travelling and racing, again very cool and great fun.
    What ya got ?

I used to race and build rc's myself before I started reefkeeping,it's another expensive hobby but a lot of fun.Built everything from electric pan car carpet racers to 4 wheel drive on road nitro cars and monster trucks which lead into the building and flying of gas and electric planes and heli's.The electric side of the hobby is almost putting a damper on nitro powered,as it's easier, more efficent, more power, battery life is getting ridiculous with all the new brushless motors, speed controls and lithium polymer batteries and sooo much less messy than nitro.Still own a gas T-maxx and a couple electric heli's,whats your question(s)?Be glad to help however I can.

Sorry for the super late reply all. I picked up a traxxas revo 3.3 with a lrp z28 motor, not running due to missing the pull start for the motor. I ordered one, should be here Sat. Picked up a charger and glow igniter yesterday. I'm spending time cleaning it's up until the pull gets here. Anyone ran one of these? I need new tires next, the ones on it are beat, and different from each other. My symmetry must-have self can't handle it. Lol

There "may" be a few of us here in the office that like to play with them. We've got quite a few RC goodies around a few cars, a couple of planes and several helicopters.

Tried the Nitro, but too much tinkering.... electric is the way to go in my opinion....
