    Hi Guys

    Once more I am here to ask your advice...

    I recently had a very very bad experience with my aquarium... two weeks ago i got a Rock beauty and a flame..placed them together in my 375lt tank but the coral beauty wouldnt accept the flame..so after some hassle i managed to catch the beauty and put her in my Refugium...

    for 5 days all was ok..the flame and rock beauty eating no signs of parasites.. I was really happy with them.. then overnight I found a dead flame and a dying Rock beauty in 24hrs I lost them both for no apparent reason... from my side acclimatisation was ok, water parameters ok, fish seemed to be healthy and eating just the day before... it was really really strange all the other fish were ok only these two died....i was really sorry for the fish and for the 195Euros I've lost as in Malta these fish are very very very costy. Any ideas why this could of happened?

    Anyway now I put back my coral beauty together with the usual yellow wrasse, cleaner wrasse, mated pair of clown fish and small blue tang... I was thinking to try and get a Majestic Angel... what do you think about this as a fish and chances of survival? also do you think it would have issues with my coral beauty?

    Thanks for your time and expertise.

    Rob

    perhaps diet? what were you feeding them? flames IMO are very hard to keep, harder than coral beauties and i would not house them together due to the high risk of agression.

    regarding the majestic and its colors you might face the same problem with your CB again. i would only host one dwarf angel in a system your size.

    also the majestic needs at least twice your volume of water.

    if you could post your exact parameters it would help.

    While we have guidelines as to what may or may not be compatible, ultimately it will be the fish's decision as each have their own personality. Considering the coral beauty's attacks on the flame, I'd say your chances are probably not very good for adding another angel.

    As for food I give them all sorts of frozen these two particularly likes myses but I added algae, flakes and pellets they seemed to like all...

    as for water parameters:

    No2 n ammonia = close to 0
    No3 approx 15
    Ph = 8.1 / 2
    Calcium = approx 450
    Phosphates .25
    total volume approx 375liters

    I was hoping to introduce the majestic since its not a dwarf angel and I've read in some other posts that dwarfs mainly have issues with dwarfs...but I stand to be corrected I am no expert...
