alright, i need a little help IDing this guy. it's a hydnophora but i'm unsure of what kind (rigida, grandis, exesa). i've been looking online but i can't be sure. i'm leaning toward rigida. i need to know because i'm placing him and i can't figure out which end it up, or if it's an encrusting one. curses for buying something without researching it enough!

Place like in the picture when in doubt. It will most likely be happiest that way. DO place it in a high flow area the heavier the better. It will keep it's sweepers from extending as much. The sweepers have been known to extend over 12" in slower flow.

yeah, i've got a spot that's got about an 8 inch radius picked out, i'll try to watch it and see if it needs it but i doubt it'll need any more space. i got this and a cyphastrea that i think actually looks better than it did in the ebay photos. i will definitely be buying from them again
