Re:skim product trial and review

So i happened about this product accidentaly, just by searching ebay for skimmer. It claims to make skimmers more efficient by increasing the surface tension of the bubbles which skimers use to export nutrients. This in turn allows for a thicker foam head and lowers the down time after feeding. My interest is in the down time as i tend to feed heavily with mysis and pacific krill. I suffer 4-6 hours of down time after each feeding (which is over 10%of the time) and really want more consistency. So, i took the plunge, a 10$ investment and a week of waiting.

Today i dosed for the first time at a rate of one drop per G(70 drops). I noticed an immediate change and raised my skimmer ( aquac urchin pro) to its "dryest" setting. the foam was still reaching the top and easily blowing over. So, initial impression is that it does infact change the way my skimmer works. Now for what interests me. I thawed a quarter sized chunk of PC mysid and a dime of krill. Un-rinsed, i fed my coral and fish(mandrin eats mysis btw) and within the hour the head had reformed. So as of right now im impressed. I'll try to keep you all updated with later impressions.

any ideas whats in it? I suppose there are no ingredients listed on the bottle

of course not...but i spoke with the owner/manufacturer/inventor and he assures me that its safe even at 10X dose.

Glad you got your package in a decent amount of time. I'd never shipped to Canada before, and was concerned how long it would take for you to receive it.

I'm glad to see your initial response is positive. The product does as advertised, and works well for it's intended purpose, which is to improve the performance of small skimmers.
