    Hello,

    I have just started to build my first SW tank, my goal is to have a reef tank with corals, clownfish, etc..., I have it up and starting to cycle now. I have a 6 hour business flight that I will be taking and nothing to really do on the plane, so... What would be a good book to introduce me to the different types of corals, inverts, etc that I should know about for my tank?

    At the moment I am cycling with 3 yellow tailed blue damsels as my bio load for the bacteria and the live sand to have a base set of bacteria in the water. The tank was running for about a week before the introduction of the damsels.

    Also for now I only have some florescent lights on the system for the damsels, but in about 3 months was looking to getting the solaris led lighting system, was figuring by around then the tank should be stabilized enough to be starting on some inverts/corals.

    System specs;
    86 Gallon (48" x 18" x 23")
    20 or so gallon sump, don't remember
    Octopus skimmer
    cpr overflow with a modified durso pipe to keep it quiet
    mag 9.5 return pump
    400w heater
    40 lbs aragonite sand + 20 lbs caribsea live sand
    30 lbs diy base rock (will have a total of about 100 lbs, but it i don't have the space to cure it all at once so will be adding more base rock as it cures.)

    (Of course you can just go to Barnes & Noble, grab a Starbuck's and plop down in one of their easy chairs to read. --- But great to have at home next to tank ----or on a plane. ;) )

    Stopped by the local Barns and Noble on the way home from work, they didn't have much of a selection in the store. So I drove out to the LFS that I got all of my stuff from and picked up The Marine Aquarium Handbook by Moe. At a glance looked good.

    omard: Thanks for the recommendation, I will take a look at those books.
