    Thanks eveyone! Quick question:

I'm finishing week 3 of cycling. For the first 2 weeks I had a frozen shrimp in a leg of pantyhose in there, took it out now. I'm running the DT without lights and refugium with lights on. Skimmer is also on, to break it in (It's pulling out a fair ammount of skim). The refugium is just filled with algae of all colors, cyanobacteria, and a thriving feather caulerpa a friend gave me on one of his refugium rocks. The DT seems like not much of anything is happening, maybe some very very slight color variations, could be my imagination but it looks like some coraline is starting to spread from a small completely coraline covered live rock I put in. Is this normal? My first time, so making sure I know what to expect. Thanks again!

I lined the cabinet with PVC shower barrier. My mom has multiple chemical sensitivity, so when I even mentioned I smelt something, out came the aluminum foil! lol She coated the entinre inside of the cabinet and the back of the tank where I spray painted the glass. Very shiny indeed!

The stand was also painted in a low VOC paint. Word of caution, it doesn't like water too much.

Sounds like the cycling is going well. You won't see much. As far as coraline growing, you should start to see little white dots on the glass. That is the start of the coraline growth.
