    Coraline Algae Growth Promotion

    So I have had the rock going in a 55 gal tank for about 3 weeks. I scrubbed the rock after 2 weeks and cleaned out all decay out of the tank. Bought a 2lb piece of rock covered in coraline algae. What do i do next to promote algae growth?

    promote algae growth? do you mean the purple coralline?

    if so scrape some from the rocks or plastics and let it drift about and seed other areas

    Yes thats what I mean. LFS told me that all I had to do was have the seed rock touching other rocks and supply good flow.

    I will scrap some off tonight.
