Having found smoe unexpected funding, I'm planning a trip to the LFS tomorrow! I think rather than stock up the 29 that has been a struggle from day 1, I'm going to get a 38 or 55 bowfront- decent stand, lights, in-sump skimmer, the works. I'd like to get everything set in place ONCE and do it right this time. I'm open to suggestions on hardware here... I'm thinking 38 or 55 bow since although my lease allows a 75, I don't want to blow the budget on the tank and have nothing left over for lights, skimmer, stock, etc.

Roger on the 55 long, but I'm thinking of bowfront. $1000.00 max total expenditure, not counting stock.

if your looking to save money on the tank listen to liege and get a breeder. have you checked ebay or craigslist, etc for people selling tanks in your area. you may be able to get a larger tank for cheap

Have you looked on Craig's list bro? There are TONS of good deals out there. The gas crunch has people selling their units right and left. You wouldn't believe the increase of aquarists getting out of the hobby since gas prices went through the roof. I wouldn't get a new one. Seriously. I constantly keep an eye on CL to see what kind of deals I can get. If you are patient and are willing to wait a week or two, you will find something that will allow you to upgrade to 75g easy.

    Rock on.......John.

AquaC Remora skimmer, anything but a emperor or penguin filter system, they're just not built right. if they had 3 chambers that would be good. GOOD lights don't go cheap there!
