Ok, thanks for the advice. I thought I would be done with cycling by now. Maybe adding LR continuously reset my cycling period. The tank itself has been cycling for about 6 weeks or so. But I kept adjusting things here and there, probably not the best thing to fiddle with a new tank before it's set up. So far it's chemical free with the exception of biozyme in the w/d. It looks like it's time for another water change.

I wouldn't worry about a water change during the cycle, but we will leave it at that unless you want to start a new thread about that topic therefore starting reefwar #459 here on 3reef!

The brown stuff is fine, you just need to add a bunch of snails, I'm getting ready to order about 100 for my 55!

D&$#, 100? The one LFS that I really like told me 10-20 would be enough for a 75. I got 6 and I'm going back today for 14 more, and maybe to trade in some rock for a nice simple piece of coral. I ordered a top-of-the-line test kit which should be here monday. I heard API isn't the best manufacturer. I know you guys are plenty busy with other things but if I put up some clean pictures, can you point out some of the flaws or soon to be flaws in my set up? This tank has to be as close to perfect as possible... Gotta do right by the animals.

Dude I can't believe it. The hammer and the green mushroom zoa are doing so well. Believe me, if all my livestock wasn't doing well I would take them back. Today everyting is doing well, no algae, clear water, fish out and eating, mushrooms open, hammers extended.
