I have heard to put a filter sock or something like it over anything that releases microbubbles. I have implemented this tactic on my HOB skimmer, it took away some but not all of the bubbles, I am thinking of putting a second layer on to see if it finishes the job. I used a filter pad from my HOB filter, cut it to fit then super glued it together. Hope this helps!

I guess they are coming from your PS? is the output of your Skimmer directly back into the tank?

I would cut the toe off of one or maybe even both and put it over the end of the outlet house and tie it to it with a plastic wire tie... as tha water flows through the mesh it breaks up the micro bubbles....

ok I had a seaclone 150 so I know how you feel. I think it's sitting in my garage and has been for a few years now. these skimmers are notorious for not working at all, working sporadically, or leaking and flooding the floor but this thread isn't to tell you how bad your skimmer is. You can take some nylon hose and stretch it over the output so that the water has to go through the hose into the tank. this worked for me when I had my seaclownso maybe it will work for you.

Maybe the bubbles aren't coming from your skimmer or your return pump may be too big.
