Should I use corafix to reattach a hairy mushroom to a rock or rubberband it to a rock? How do I get this thing to reattach itself without damaging it?

With mushrooms i would use some netting and rubber bands, or let it attach itself to some rock rubble in a small cup in the tank, then glue it where you want.

Yep, they will attach naturally. I have been using a dab (only a really small dab) of super glue gel lately and it seems to work out well. For some reason I was always taught not to superglue softies but I have not had any problems with it.

If I use a rubber band how tight should I put the band around the shroom and rock it? Also how long should I let it sit like that?

 I have no idea what im doing

If you use a rubber band you will end up with two shrooms as the rubber band will cut it in half. Best way to attach mushrooms is to put them in a small tub of rock rubble and cover it with a piece of wedding veil or tafta which can be purchased at Michaels or any craft store

After a couple of days the mushroom will attach itself to some of the rock rubble and all you will have to do is pull it out and glue it to the rocks using some super glue on the rocks. Doing it thiis way will avoid the usual result of just superglueing it to the rocks, a floating mushroom that disapears behind the rocks.

I use the netting against a rock technique described above.
