    I know what u are saying steve. Ive seen a few mishaps here and there but some are just way to over the top. I mean it even fried his tv. Talking in general and not as a defense to your post i think more people should help people out cause its the right thing to do not because they want something in return.

    Id be in for a few bucks. Cant imagine what that must be like. He didnt just lose the tank and inhabitants he lost thousands in water damage as well. Keep us posted.

    Isn't Strickland in Nova Scotia? Aren't they on the same monetary unit as you?

    I only say that as I went searching through his thread to see Strickland was close to me or anyone I know as I have loads of spare tanks I could give as do plenty of my friends around the US. That idea got bashed when I read a thread Strickland posted re: a high tempo reading of 117 degrees and it was on 3 degrees outside.

    I like the idea of helping someone out, but I honestly don't know how I can do this and keep it clean on 3reef taxes. Tax day for 3reef has become awfully complicated and this would add a wrinkle that I don't know how to handle. This would need to be addressed before I can get involved. :p

    Matt if you give an ok to run a thread for it id be willing to send cash right to him if we had a address or po box to send it to. that way no one would have to show it on the books.;)

    3reef.com will not be a leading factor in this play. Let the man set up his own paypal account and people chip money to him and leave the forum out of it. Then there are no tax issues on the 3reef.com....it is between us and him....so if he makes a paypal account then it is started.....he is only taking donations from users here..........So if you want to contribute PM the broken tank owner and go from there
