Now you know soon there will be people here with pictures of broken tanks hustling good folks so be careful from this point forward and know very well who you are helping out...the internet is ate up with hustlers......This is NOT the case here though...it is a great idea....Maybe his tank was not level?

Honestly I've been slammed with some life stuff so I am not sure what the story is here. I will catch up soon.

 

There wouldn’t be a tax consequence or filing requirement on the part of 3reef .

Coldshot is correct tho, Strickland would set up a paypal account and post the email address. Any friend wishing to toss him a few bucks as a gift would be able to do so via their own paypal account.

I have been thinking long and hard on this post and I am sorry but I have to agree.

Who chooses who to help and who not.

Dont you open the can of worms by helping one and not another?

I feel bad for him and wish the tank break had never happened however if i remember right someone elses tank broke a month or two ago and noone thought of doing this for him.

So if the site is going to endorse this I think something needs to be set to figure who is worthy and who isnt.

This is just my opinion and it is not me trying to be difficult just fair.

The site isn't endorseing it, as Matt said..
It would only be left up to tho's that wanted to help..
I don't belive we even know if the guy wants to set up a tank yet.. Unless I missed it..
I do agree about helping one and not others.. It's like a " Catch 22 " ....
And the guy didn't ask for help.. We were just willing to share..
I have offered to help people out of my pocket befor..

You people have been absolutely amazing over the last few days, I don't know if I would have actually mentally made it out of the situation without the actual FAMILY feeling you get on here. I have never met anyone on here in person (though all aquarists have a bond, I know) and yet people are willing to dip into there very own pockets and give to me! Absolutely Amazing. But seriously guys you don't have too, It maybe a year or two before I get over the actual shock of everything that has happened to me over the last few days, shortly after the tank incident my wife of 5 years decided to tell me she was leaving!!!
