recharge for DSB

Does anyone know of a good website (preferably low cost) to get a recharge kit for my new dsb?

If your referring to replenishing beneficial bacteria you might want to look here at garf into there grunge. it is what i use to start my tanks .

i like the inland aquatics package except i would rather not have a bristle worm infestation after a couple months. Are there any alternative critters that could take their place?

 

Bristle worms are a must in a DSB. Know your enemy and understand a DSB .

 

i have read sooo much about dsb's and at first i was sure that bristle worms are necessary but after reading even more i don't know what to think. i understand the bristle worms role but i was just asking if there was another critter that can take the place of the bristle worm. Judging by your answer, i guess not. Oh well it was worth a try. Maybe i'll just get a sixline wrasse or something that will keep the population in check. Is there a way to keep them in the refuge and not let them in the main or is it impossible due to the size of the larvae?

 

i am pretty sure that i understand how a dsb works. I probably would not be doing one if i didn't. That would be poor judgement on my part and just plain old stupid.
