Wanna see your fish go absolutely crazy? Get some fresh raw shrimp at your grocery store. Rinse it out, cut it up, and throw a piece or 2 in your tank. lol. Holy crap batman! The fish went crazy over it. Maybe I will start giving them a few pieces as a treat once a week.

For those who already do this, do you leave the shell on? I pulled it off this time, wasn't sure if they would eat it as well.

if you think they like that, make a fresh mix, thats what we do, we use shrimp, clams, any type of saltwater non oily white fish, squid, and mysid shrimp, with some cyclopese, green flake and garlic, put into a food processor, blend and freeze. They love it!

Isn't oily good? HUFAs are oils.

On a related note I peeled a krill a few days ago and dropped it into my tank... I was amazed, my little 6 line wrasse darted out, grabbed it, and hauled it back to his hole and proceeded to rip it itno bite sized chunks.... the krill was about half his size, and he ate most of it...

Fought off hermit crabs, 2 full grown A. Ocellaris clowns, the chromis, everything but the snails.... defended his shrimp.

really, my fish are odd. i feed my anemone fresh shrimp. when he is full, he will reject it and release it to float around the tank. only the cleaner shrimp seems to be really interested. my other fish will take a bite every once and a while but they don't get too excited. of course these same fish don't get too excited about mysis shrimp either and everyone seems to be surprised by that too.
