Skimmer is a Current USA fission

Current USA Fission Recirculating Skimmer Model 8105 225 Gallons

Since my first post i am getting a little bit more foam. I took the water level down to the black ring. Keep in mind that 1) i didnt pick the skimmer, it was inherited...i know its not the best...

    2) I cleaned it really well before turning it on (except the collection cup). Its been on about 14 hours now

You are probably close. Its going to be trial and error, keep tweaking over the next few weeks until you get the skimmate consistency you are comfortable with. Some like to skim wet, others dry, its really up to you and your tank. Thats about the same level I keep my Turboflotor 1000 Classic at and it works well.
