It's an Instant Ocean Seaclone 100 skimmer. A 20 gallon tank, 30 gallon sump (only holding 10 gallons though).

What kind of gph do I need and how does the skimmer produce the bubbles? Does it need an air line in the the pump?

    Thx

I had a Gen-X GX 2400 Pump w/ Needle Wheel for Protein Skimmer on my Berlin Turbo until I forgot to turn the ATO on and burned it up. I need a new one now. or a new impeller However I could never find just the Impeller.

The original pump is a Maxi-Jet 1200, and yes, you need the venturi intake for the pump.

Is the 1200 necessary? PR can I get a smaller one?

I'd try and go with what it came with, design sort of thing. Where did yours go?

There should already be a venturi to add the air. on the intake to the pump is better if possible

    +1

Also, the venturi only fits the 1200 and is sold separately.

I got it for free, it just needs a pump. Any pump with air intake should work, no?

It might work if it has a similar GPH rating; the MJ1200 is 295.
