New to this hobby, usually I am pretty quick and finding good places to buy various things with other hobbies I have. There are so many sites that sell so many different pieces of equipment.

What are some good sites to check out for ordering Tanks, stands, pumps, and other equipment.

I already found some good stuff and places for fish, coral, etc. I buy most of this from LFS.

The reason I ask is that if I get my new job.. a bigger tank is in order.
The LFS downtown has beautiful 120g's with stands etc... but they are $3500. Not sure about pricing or what is/isnt good deals.

Personally I shop for prices at marinedepot.com and am lucky enough to have an LFS that will price match anything. I'm not too sure about where to purchase tanks and stands though. Good luck!

i think he must refering to lighting and filtration included, either that or the stand is made of mahogany made by a master of old world craftsmenship because it would just be to expensive for a normal stand and tank.

I use marine depot when ordering a lot of things. For single things like a pump I google for best price.

$3500 for a 120 tank and stand sounds really expensive. I am having a custom 75 gallon stand and canopy, as well as a 33 gallon stand and canopy built and including the tanks themselves I am paying less than half that for everything.
Like said before if the stand is done really well and maybe if the tank has starphire glass or if it's acrylic, which is more expensive, that might make more sense. Totally depends on the details though, in my opinion.

As far as sites to check out equipment you can always check the 3reef sponsors otherwise I have been using these:
    www.marinedepot.com
    www.bulkreefsupply.com
    www.premiumaquatics.com
    www.reefgeek.com
    www.drsfostersmith.com
    www.reefmania.com

For getting a general idea of the cheaper side of tanks although I've heard some problems with quality/customer service but it's good for a general concept:

craigslist. No reason to buy a new tank, let someone else make that mistake for you.
