I like this idea, have you seen anyone else with pictures of this? That would be pretty cool, I'm a fan of stain glass, might make it pop out some more.

That might have moved up to the top of my list if I can find the right sizes and such!

I'm wondering if stain glass might compete with the tank though in terms of the aesthetics, like too much color and such if that makes sense...

Stained glass (so many different possibilites!), that's a great idea.
That probably would look cool with the spillage light from the LED's thru various pieces of stained glass.

I'm keeping that one now on the burner myself, so the next time I see some stained glass somewhere, I'll be thinking about this application.

Matt, how are the corals do'in you got from me?

No, I've never seen it, so I have no idea how it would look or function, just thought it may look nice as I love stain glass.

Well, I was thinking that the stained glass would not be fully lit, if you can follow along... I was thinking of putting something on the inside to block some of the light going to stained glass, so it wouldn't be the full led. Like a filter lens on a camera to block out some light. Then your stained glass can be a little bit darker, a little bit more of an accent piece.

Time to fire up craigslist!! haha! I'm going to look into this more, I think I really like the idea. ;D

Todd, the Devil's Hand is doing awesome! He's my show piece! I see polyps every day! He really seems to pop up when I'm feeding limits reef buffet. I just got some the other week and everyone seems to love it.

I'm sad to say that the mushrooms, I can't find em... I don't know if they're gone or if they are just hiding somewhere. I feel bad that they might be gone.

I just did a quick craigslist search on milwaukee and this was the only thing close to what I was thinking. I personally don't like it, it's just red... nice, but to me, boring

I actually want the stain glass color coming through in all it's glory. It won't compete, it's just more surface area to WOW the masses. Like an awesome awesome woodworked stand..... yes, it will draw people's attention and hopefully they will remark how beautiful it is, but it just adds to the whole thing. Window film can tone it down if it's too much.

I don't have much experience with stain glass, not by choice, I think it's a great style and done right can look amazing! I would have to test it out to see how much it actually does go through.

Maybe I should take a stain glass course somewhere! hahahaha like I need another addicting hobby! ;D
