It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Most for Tangs such as a Tomini is about 70-75 gallon and that is not conservative enough for me.

I would look at a fairy wrasse like a salon. A potters angel or flame back angelfish would be great in that tank. A royal gramma or orchid dotty back would add a lot of color. Do you have inverts? Some of them can be very active and fun to watch

I have a yellow tang, a powder blue and a copperbanded butterfly and then a green chromos and a clown in my 90 and that is pushing it.......I would give my powder blue away if I could get it out but the thing is too smart.....I have tried everything and I am not removing `50lbs of rock and fixed corals...got him when he was the size of a quarter a little over 1 year ago......he is a good 5" now and he fought off ick 3 times, had a gash on the right side after spooking in the rocks when my grandson hit the tank.
Hardy once full grown but DIRTY!!! Sheets all over 5 times more than any other fish I have owned

So please no tangs in a 55.... go with Coral Beauties and Anthias, maybe a goby or 2
Depends on how much rock and how much filtration you have also..........I am a firm believer that you can have a heavy stock if you have enough bio and mechanical filtration and that includes the biggest best skimmer you can use.

Its stress from lack of space that kills most fish. Not lack of filtration IME.

Do not disagree on the stress is part of being the killer. However if you have poor filtration and circulation that alone will cause stress

So is what we have here is a viscous cycle!

I wouldn't worry about a one spot foxface in there at all

Appreciate everyone's opinion...our LFS helped us in our final decision, and we went with a one spot foxface. Lastly, we may look into some interesting inverts

I was going to say that you may be able to house a bristletooth, but it's pushing it.

I wouldn't get a foxface, messy and most get get 7 inches easily. I'd get a fang blenny (Some get up to 5in), dwarf angel, or wrasse of some type....
