a lot of information says that you need tons of critters but IMO i think a good variety of critters is better. since different snails and crabs eat leftovers and different alges, some burrow and stir the sand like conchs or starfish. just find a good combo where they eat different things.
BTW if I put any more LR in my tank the fish would not be seen much and wouldn't have much space to swim, and according to that link you put here, I need 40 more lbs of LR. NO WAY! that is a little high. A good rule of thumb is 1 lb LR and LS per gallon of tank capacity, or somewhere there abouts.
My understanding was that Atalntic LR is about twice as dense as Pacific and their site is selling Atlantic LR. I'm getting 50 lbs. of Fiji LR for my 47 gal. bowfront and most of the suggestions I got (on this site) suggested that was too little. The Palmetta book, "The New Marine Aquarium" also suggests 1 lb. of Pacific LR or 2 lbs. of Atlantic LR per gallon...

i can't believe how many turbos they recommend. i've always heard to get at 1 turbo per 10 gallons at first. i can't imagine what my tank would be like w/ 60 of them. everything would be bulldozed.
