    hello everyone,first ill say that im new here but not to the hobby(or addiction like my wife calls it).i have a 90g semi reef(only a couple of corals),approx 110#'s of LR,2" sandbed,130w 50/50 PC,x2 175w MH 10k,berlin classic PS(rio 2500),wavemaster(only x1 pwr hd),4'x4" DIY upflow reactor(kona coast shells),phosban 150(GAC),turbo twist 18w,and a rio hf26 return.currently using a 55g DIY as a sump(4" DSB,mangroves and cheato).i'd like to re-partition my baffles and remove DSB and macro.i have a 10g drilled and a 40g breeder drilled laying around that i could use for a seperate fuge(s).

i dont really have a space issue as of now,my 90g is 4' from floor to bottom of tank and is 4' wide.i was thinking of putting the 40g above the 55g and possibly the 10g above the 90g.that way the 10g would overflow into the 90g and the pods wont get shredded by a pump, but lighting becomes and issue(10g would have to be on same lighting regimine as 90g).

continuing with my dismay,id like to run the PS,UV and 4' reactor on same pump,i have tons of PVC laying around and have built a double 't' setup with the PS plumbed directly at the end(wont fit in current setup with DSB and macro).i cant find the recomended GPH for the berlin.the UV will be 200-250 and the reactor 100-200.

any and all advice will be greatly appreciated,my red hair is turning grey.also ill be moving the 90g across the room shortly(new pool table in room and dont like the idea of breaking towards the tank) so disassembling and starting fresh wont be an issue.

Berlin classic skimmers are recommended by Red Sea to run with 500 gph pumps that can produce 10ft of head but I've seen people go higher a lot. Just saw one with a 900gph pump. That is a common modification to that skimmer.

So you are putting your fuge above your tanks or did I read that wrong?

i was thinking of putting the 10g above the 90g for pods, and the 40g above the 55g sump.do you recommend the cheato in the 10g? or just sand an LR rubble?what is best for pods to reproduce in?

I ran Berlins for yrs still do well my son does in house he lives in now, On the Berlin X-L a Mag 1200 does well and one the Classic a Mag 9.5 or a RIO 2500 does the job I prefer the Mags my self as they are a better pump and screw right into the Berlins 3/4 FIP venturi .
