Hi. I've got about 80lbs of live rock that has sat dry for about a year and I'd like to reconstitute some of it for use in a new tank. Does anybody now how to go about doing this? Is it even possible? Thanks in advance!!

I bought most of the live rock dry then a very small amount live to seed the rest.
    works good saves money

Yes it will work. just seed it with a few pieces from your existing tank and replace the pieces you took with the dry rock and will be well.

you might have to cure it, just like cycling a tank. Put it in a container with salt water, add a piece of shrimp or if there is already organic material on the rock you don't need to add anything else. When the levels are all in check it's done. you can then place it in your tank.
