Red Alage??

I've been battling red algae now for about a month. Tried everything, chemiclean, slime remover, phosphates are in check.
But I only have red algae on one side of the tank. So if it is something wrong with my water param's why would it just be on one side. I have lots of flow in my tank and I've been doing ridiculous vacumming with each water change- right now about once a week.
Any advice?

 

It seems to me that even though the flow in the tank is good it's not getting to that side panel enough. Try playing around with your powerheasds to fix that. Also I saw that you are doing water changes but what are your nitrates at?

Also is the tank by a window?

 

Could just be growing in that spot. eGet a ph and blow it off. also do water changes without excess nutrients it will die. Certh snails love it I have 10 in my 55

 

I used to get algae only on the side of my old tank that was facing the window... could that apply to you?

 

What are you using as a skimmer? Red algae usually comes down to water flow and skimming.
