    Hello All,

I have a 125g FOWLR tank & about a month ago I left the windows open in the room where my tank is an red algae started growing. The windows were only open a couple of days but now there is a lot of the algae.

Any recommendations you can provide to help!

    Thanks!

It's red slime... I had the same thing in my 10gallon a year ago, bought red slime remover from the live fish store added it to the tank and never seen it since... It's easy to add and safe. You add 1 spoon full of the mixture for every 15 gallons, add some water in a old water bottle, add how ever many spoon fuels u need (roughly 8 spoon fuels for you) shake it really well to mix it up, and dump it into the tank in a high flow area. Your tank will be cloudy for a day or 2 but will be very worth it. Just keep checking your ph levels cause it can mess with them, and add a couple of air stones with bubblers cause it messes with you oxygen levels.
