I have a 14G nano cube and am fighting a loosing battle as if late with some kind if red algae, I know it's not red slime because it doesn't look like cotton candy it looks to me like red hair algae but doesn't match any pics...

My tank has been up for about 6 to 8 weeks, I have 2 clown fish and for cuc I have a porcelain crab, fire shrimp, and various hermit crabs and snails

For coral which has been growing like crazy I have birds nest, green finger leather, an orange plate, candy cane, GSP, hammer coral and various zoo's and mushrooms

Sorry for the length levels as of just now

    Temp - 78
    Ph - 8.2
    Phosphate - 0.0
    Nitrate - 0.0
    Nitrite - 0.0
    Ammonia - 0.0
    Cal - 400
    Sal - 1.026

Also I am running a oceanic protein skinner

Sorry for the bad pics am I over reacting or is there something else I can do to get rid of this algae

    Thanks

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks like cyanobacteria to me as well. If that is as bad as it is getting, the only intervention I would do at this time is make sure you have enough flow. Your tank is very young and some newly cycled tanks go through it, I would just ride it out for a few weeks, if it were my tank. Just make sure you have no dead spots flow wise. JM2C

Ok thanks so far I have replaced the stock pump with a max jet 900 and we have a koralia nano as well, so I don't think it's a flow issue guess I'll have to wait and see what happens

it's red slime algae. Get some red slime remover and make sure you read the directions carefully or you will kill your fish. It worked the first time for me when I had it.
