    Hi to all: I am experiencing problems with red algae in my refugium since leaving my cheato light on 24/7. I remember reading a previous post saying not to worry, that the algae would disappear in 2 to 3 weeks. has anyone had a same problem and what happened? - meed input, :confused: & thankx much!!. wilrod99

    It will most likely go away on its own. It will feed off of the nutrients. I wouldn't worry too much.

    they are talking about the light on the cheato/macro algea in the refugium

    Often times a refugium has reduced water flow. Also, since substrate is a sink for nitrates, carbon and phosphates, you may see cyano from time to time.
