Can anyone help me figure out what this is? In the picture there is like a red and white striped worm thing on my carnation coral and its wrapped around it.

The red part kinda looks like it has spikes or something!

What is it and how should I handle getting rid of it?

    Thanks!

Micro brittlestars are a great addition to a CUC. Don't get rid of it.

ok....you may be right....upon further inspection it does look like it has a center body and the legs get thinner towards the end.

Its a pretty big star actually.

It is going to hurt the carnation coral at all and should I pull him off of it? Its been on there for days!

No, I'm not sure. My eyesight isn't very good and to make matters worse, I'm on a laptop right now.

With that said, I've never seen a striped polychaete (bristleworm) and,
I have seen many red and white striped ophiuroids (brittlestars).
