On most SPS Corals I know to what new growth looks like, kind of! but with this Coral and its shape, I am not sure. The Coral has gotten bigger, but on the plug it encrusted part of it, today I noticed what looks to be a white nipple thing on the side of the plug, with this Coral being shaped like a plate, could that white spot be new growth starting?

Yes it could. You want to see white growth on all the edges of the coral.

ohh yea 2in10! Lots of white edges on him, I didn't think these kind of Corals would have polyps on the underside of their bodies, he has lots of them. I was going to post a pic of this white bump thing, but its just a white bump I am hoping is the start of another layer of Coral.

This is the white spot I am talking about, you can see its encrusted down to that point, pic 1 is the reason why I wanted this Coral, so cool it is, so I am wondering if that white is the start of my Coral looking like that :D

Hard to say for certain but since it looks to be part of the coral I would say very possible. The coral looks very good.

Thanks 2in10, means a lot, I hope so, having a new branch/plate is something to get excited about, knock on wood, but I sure am doing something right, all my Corals look fantastic, good growth and color, very active polyps.

Very good, do not deviate from your routine because it appears you found the sweet spot for your system.

Good looking specimen.. and also the pic of what you want. I would say yes, that is another plate starting. From my experiences, if you want them to leaf up and bowl, you can take two pieces and glue them in a cup shape to the rock. as they grow, they will leaf up. I had one that started off as tow pieces about the size of a 1/2 dollar each and when I removed it from my tank 3 years later, it was easily 18" across and 8 or 9 inches tall

the white edges are teh growth.
