Red coralline?

Funny enough its seems to really be growing only on this pump which is the one i poor my carbon in

 

Is that the dreaded red slime?

 

Red coralline is correct. I get that dark red color on very shaded areas in my tank. Everywhere else is purple. Neon pink comes every once in a while, but that is dying coralline I've found.

 

I have all kinds of color of Coralline - Red, Purple, Pink(ish). I've even had what looks like green coralline. Not sure that's possible, but it when it grows on the glass, it needs to be scraped off.

Every time I visit the a local fish store, I always dig through their rubble basket in their Live Rock tanks (if they have one). I try and pick out small piece with interesting coralline colors on it.

 

Yep, coralline comes in many different colors, including red and green.

 

I have some light green too, on one of the walls of the tank i dont clean.

 

you put carbon in your powerhead?

 

Vodka dosing (or equivalent)

 

My Mp10 is covered in the red coraline algae, but the other 2 tunze further up are plastered in pink, i have had green but that was at the early stages before it turned to pink

 

Is there white coralline?
