    One of my favorites!!

Trent, you ought to submit a FOTM (Fish Of the Month) on them to Matt. You could take a picture of your buddies full grown one too to show the coloration change. Just a thought

I guess it's been about two months since the last update. The red coris is extremely shy only when I bring out the camera today lol... Usually it's out showing off.

Anyways I wanted to update because there are some pretty big changes happening right now! So the juvenile white spots are almost gone, they are down to just some small specks. The electric blue spots have progressed from around the tail the whole way up to about half-way on the body. Also from the tail forward, it is starting to darken slightly. There do not seem to be any changes to the face yet though. I'll try for some better pics later and hopefully he decides to come out and show off a little lol.

On a side note, I believe my female melanurus wrasse is also transitioning. After the loss of her first mate she has violently attacked any subsequent males I have introduced. (maybe she went to initial phase within the few weeks that it took for me to acquire more males?) Within the last week I have been seeing her colors on her face change color... (could be going to terminal phase now?) I guess time will tell if she is actually changing!

well about 120 pictures later I finally got a decent one of him haha! I swear tonight he was playing some kinda game with me because he would sit in a hole in this rock right up in front and stare at me until i looked away, then he would come out and flash me like normal... and just as fast as i could get the camera on him, he was non-chilantly making his way around the back of the rock and going into the tunnel to watch me again!
