hey everyone i got a bit of a pickle right now with a red hair algae problem. I have a 20 gallon tank with only a few mushrooms, a toadstool and some other softy not exactly sure what it is anyways i moved the tank about a month ago and havent added anything new to it except for some hermits i had three one is gone and im pretty sure another is close behind and about 12 snails. I have done a five gallon water change every week since the new setup and used some reef buffer to get my ph back up to about 8.2 right now. all other parameters are looking good salinity is just above 1.021 after i did a water change today. I have been battling a red hair problem and i have no idea what to do to take care of it. I am still a bit of a noobie at this hobby but have been doing a ton of research in all aspects of salt water care and maintenance. I have cleaned the skimmer, filter, powerheads everything rearanged all my live rock and scrubbed every piece almost every day with a toothbrush and scooped up the rest from the sand. every day i get the tank looking clean and about 4 hours into the lighting schedule it all come back. rightn now i am not really adding any livestock until i can get everything running good with what i have and running for a while. The one thing i have learned from everyone is to take it slow ask a ton of questions and research more and more and that is pretty much what i am doing. so if you could please help me out that would be great i will have to try and get some pics soon i just cleaned everything pretty good today so im sure it will be back tomorrow afternoon. thank you

What type of lighting are you running, and how old are the bulbs? Is the tank set up near a window?
What type of water are you using?
