    What is this??? I don't think it's cyano.

    It's definitely not cyanobacteria. I don't have a name for it though it is probably a form of macroalgae. In a refugium, most algae are ideal for removing nitrates!

    Well, I'm just curious what it is???

    How good or bad is adding some caulerpa to my sump? I have cheato(sp?) saw blade, brown hair, and red hair in there already...

    You are pulling a lot out with what you have, no need to add another competitor especially one that can go sexual quickly if you don't thin it often.
