    I have the same stuff its a PITA. im not sure what its called but it does grow fast if your nutrients are not in check(mine were/are). I have found my fox face and my yellow tang(rip) will eat it..going to follow for an ID..

    if you would like to beat it, consider searching here for the peroxide method I cured my tank of that stuff easily with a few treatments
