red kinda mushroom looking wierd thing

i bought live rock from absolutely fish and a few months later this started apearing and now its huge! idk wat it is but once i put it in my nano cube it just rappidly grew and has taken over the rock.

 

Also, it appeared on my other live rock but i kept that peice in the other tank i have and it disappeared. Its mainly red but it does have some spots on it that are green and other colors.

 

I'm not sure what it is, but it must like your tank. Kinda cool looking.

 

my only description is it looks like red lettuce growning in one spot but its kinda slimy.

 

Halymenia floridana?

 

Could be some type of calciferous algae. What happens to it when you touch it?

thats pretty cool i guess,its also green and very slimy, nuthing happends to it when i touch it but its getting pretty big im goin to put it in my other tank.
