Red nudibranch

No they are not flat.

 

I've been do extensive research on this and still cant find a picture or name.
I'm going to wait this out. Hope that in the future these don't create an issue in my tank.

 

The pics on the Seaslugforum of the little red nudi's are close-ups that show the internal organs. All the other pics I've seen of Vayssierea show them essentially as you describe them, all red. Here's another thread on them:

Well done. That's exactly what I have.
So that brings up the question, are they reef safe?

 

The link provided stated that they eat tube worms. Most nudi's are specialized eaters. They only feed on one item, once that is gone they starve.

 

Sorry just caught on to that. I wonder if when they are killed off, if they give off any toxin?

 

Nope. They won't hurt anything. The toxic ones aren't very closely related to the ones you have.
