Red sea max 250 build

Well, I sold my 55 gal today to make some money for a Red Sea Max 250. it's a build... But not really a "build", because the tank has all of the components needed. I'm picking it up sometime this week, and that will be picture time.

Nu-nu, what lighting does this tank have?

 

6bulb t5. 3 20,000 white and 3 actinic

 

Oh my gosh... That looks awesome! I'm getting mine secondhand off of Craigslist... For 1.3 k off the retail price. I have a question. Are there switches for the actinics and whites, or do they both have to come on with one switch?

 

They come on at the same time. Its ok though because there are 8 leds that pretty much do the same thing. i got mine brand new for a pretty good deal as well. Its a nice setup, but putting together the stand is a major pain in the a**.

I have a 29 bio cube currently thats full of softies. All the lps I've tried have become lifeless skeletons... Maybe because of the lighting? (72W total). So I'm hoping that with the max, I'll be able to have a mixed reef finally. and I want the finding nemo crew.

 

I went against getting a tang because the tank isnt even 4' long so its a small tank for any type of tang :/ instead i went with a foxface and a bunch of nano fish. Might even get a butterfly
