Red sea max 250 build

Ah... Careful with the butterfly's. I had my 55 for 4 years... I got a blue hippo about 3 months after setting it up. When I sold it today, he maybe grew an inch since I put him in. With plenty of food, too. I'm not sure what caused it. I'm probably gonna start wi 2 clowns and a hippo (less than an inch). I'm not sure about a yellow tang though.. Every one I've had has contracted ich within the first week.

 

Haha ya butterflys are very challenging but in a year i think ill try it...

No tangs for me, ich is too freaking scary. Lol

 

It is. The only fish I've run into ich trouble with are yellow tangs, to mini tangs, and flame angelfish...

 

Ohh that sucks! 3 seperate occasions??? Im suprised your blue tang never got ich, they always seem to get it. I buy from a pretty good store so im not too worried about it

 

I get my fish at petco! <------ sarcasm I also have a few good fish stores. The service is unparalleled, but the quality of the livestock is questionable. I always have a bottle of ich-x (reef safe ich treatment), and a qt at the ready.

 

By the way, do you have any sps in your RSM?

 

Yea i have a red monti that is doing great! the lights will support alot of corals, you really dont need to worry about it.

Watch out bud, the tank gets hooooooot. Came home to 89 degree water....
