Thanks. :) it sure takes up a bit of space... I may be moving it to the living room, and moving my bio cube to my room. Does anyone have experience with the noise of the RSM 250? I'm wondering if it's a good "bedroom" tank.

Almost no noise. Only time there is noise is if you turn on your extra fans in the back of the tank, other then that its silent. :)

That's wonderful. :D I had an Aquaclear 110 on my old 55 and it sounded like a faucet.. Running 500 gallons of water an hour. :-/ that's why I went with RSM. Pumping is better than splashing. :) what about the skimmer? I've read reviews about that being quite loud..

I honestly dont hear mine. It is still breaking in, but its pretty silent to me, but then again i have a noisy family so im used to studying with alot of noise. If you are sensative to noise im not sure how you will like the RSM in your room, but if you are like me (i had a 30 gallon in my room with 2 loud korolias, aquaclear 70, noisy protein skimmer) i still slept well with all that noise.

Hopefully it works for you, but i have one concern. The RSM can overheat very easily (im lookin for a cheap chiller) and it tends to get hot on the second story of a house. If i were you i would keep it downstair so its not too hot. Hopefully you dont live somewhere where temps skyrocket. Lol good luck :)

Southwest florida... Temps don't skyrocket.. Theyre always skyrocketed. :( the guy who sold the tank to me says that I can have his 1/10 dual stage current chiller for $200 whenever I can get it... I just have to make the $. ;) hopefully I'll have it before I put any fish in.

Speaking of which, how's your 250 after the spike in temp? Is everything okay? :)

Yes i would definitly go for the chiller if it is good quality! Otherwise you will need to freeze some big bags of ice and drop them in every once in a while like i do! Its a hassel, but not too bad :)

Thanks for askin! Lol the frogspawn was pissed but now it is ok! After the spike all the corals and fish were just fine, but i went and got a little figital thermometer from petco for like 12 bucks. It was an awesome buy. I stuck it above the power center on the right side of the tank and the little wire that measures the temp went in one of the back compartments. It is awesome. Lol i reccomend you do the same! :D

That's great! :D I probably will... I like how you can remove the accessory kit to stick more chords back there. :) but yeah... I may be sticking with the ice for awhile.

Sorry for not updating. I got the tank filled with 60 lbs of live sand and water. I put 5 gallons of water from my bio cube into it to speed up the cycle. This was on Friday, the 29th. I can't wait to get back from vacation on the 28th and order rock from John! :)
