    Here are the pics of the sump/fuge. The picture is a few months old. The water enters the front right compartment, then into the back compartment where the HOB skimmer sits (I also had a Hagen HOB filter but I got rid of it), from there into the fuge, and finally through the bubble trap and into the 480 GPH return pump. I have also filled the inlet chamber with LR since this pic.

    thats a neat set up, did you buy the sump as well or make it yourself?

    I made it myself. Some acrylic from Home Depot, a tube of GE window and door silicone, and a Saturday afternoon, nothing to it really. I did all my cutting with my table saw and router. Lately, I have been buying my acrylic at a local glass shop and I get the cut pieces for the same price as the Home Depot stuff. I would recommend using black acrylic for the dividers, less light passes through and less algae issues.

    pretty good idea, i live next door to a glass place so i might have to go do some sucking up, as for the overflow, will have to check what lifereefs international shipping rates are worth
