    Hey everybody.
So i got a Red sea max 34 gal. aquarium for my 18th birthday, i got it set up nicely, already cycled, and all my critters are happy.
Everything works great, except no matter how much i adjust my protien skimmer i dont get anything in the resevoir.
It bubbles. Does my tank just not have much protien or what?
I have a big bulb anenome, a black perc. clown, a true perc. clown, 2 damsels, and a horseshoe crab.
Does anybody have any information about them?
    Or experience?
    Much appriciated!

Do you get any reaction from the skimmer during/after feeding?

No i get no reaction i've noticed.

    ~Chase19.

I will have to do that.
Normally when i play with the comb, i starve 1 of my pumps.
Should i turn 1 off, then lower my comb?
I will play with it. Thanks for the info.
I've played with the air valve, its almost completely open.
    Grrr.

completely open doesn't necessarily mean ur gettin the best performance out of the skimmer. If it's sucking too much air, and not enough water you are gonna get poor results also.

    I agree.

But it seems to bubble alot higher when it is almost completely open.

I've had the protien skimmer running since the day i got it.. so about 6 weeks. and have only emptied it once. (just to give me something to do) haha.
And those friggin dansels are a pain.
For the most part the get along real well with my clowns, if my horseshoe crab goes near them they pretty much atack. (good thing he's like a little tank) lol
I think i'm going to donate them to the FLS, and get a diamond goby, and some shrimp, and some other things..

Good luck getting them out. usually you have to remove all the LR and maybe catch them with 2 nets or trap them in something transparent.
