Is there any tips or tricks to this tank? Now that I have one and I am mixing water as we speak. I was thinking about taking 20 gallons out of the 220 to hopefully start the cycle and then putting 20 of new water in the 220 as a w/c also then just putting the remaining water in the red sea. I also was going to take some of the cycled rock and adding it to the red sea. Other then that is there anything I should know? Is the skimmer ok? The light ok? etc? things that need to upgrade or change?

While I don't have a nano at this time, I have been reading up on the various Nano systems out there and looking for one that would be usable for housing seahorses. For housing fish and corals there are pros and cons to each one...generally speaking all need a bit of help keeping the temps under control with the most common recommendation being to install a small chiller for this purpose...

I do like the Rea Sea Max over the others, but for the housing seahorses, out of the box, none of the current systems seem fit...all needing some amount of modification...

I have a RSM 130d 34g. The skimmer will always put microbubbles into your tank
no matter what you do. But you can fit the tunze nano skimmer 9002 or the brand new euro reef double pump in the stock location.RedSea Max/ Euroreef Skimmer Page - Reef Sanctuary. The stock lights are pretty good for t5 compact lighting , you can keep montis ,birdnest and lps. I upgraded to a 250 halide hood.
