So, i've been increasing my Mg levels to fight bryopsis. I got it to about 1700 according to the Salifert test kit.

I just got new Red Sea Reef Foundation Pro test kit (Ca/Mg/KH), and if i did the test right, Mg reads 2400!!!!! Tank seems happy.

Unfortunatelly my Salifert test kit that i used just two days ago ran out, so I cannot comparison test.

In the picture below, as you're adding drops of last solution, shaking and checking color, do you want to keep addind drops until color CLOSELY resembles end color on the chart, or just as long as it stops being red/pink/purple and becomes blue/dark magenta?

I, too, cannot tell by the flash card. However, you should've received a full instruction manual with your kit that provides such necessary details. If not, then you need to contact Red Sea about it. I'm certainly not going to curse you by guessing. :)

As long as your tank seems happy and healthy, I wouldn't recommend adjusting anything until you get your test reading issue cleared up.

it should generally only be a few drops if that between when it starts to change and it changes, when it starts to change, just shake a little longer and take a bit more time between drops. its real touch and go at that point, IMO. a few extra drops radically changes the results.
