I've had my Prizm for 3 weeks. I hate it. It needs constant tweaking. I ended choosing between a Remora Pro and an EuroReef ES5. Got a better deal on the Remora Pro - arriving next week.

Hey all... I've had a prizm deluxe now for about 2 months. It's been doing the job i think....

The only negative thing i would have to say about it is the surface skimmer "thing" that comes with the deluxe model. Always have to be playing with it and doesn't do the best job... For it to work at its best you have to place it where the water barely enters the tube but after a couple of hours (5 or 6) it will empty out from not having enough water flow coming in. I don't know if you guys understood that but thats it...

As for the noise put some tank water in the empty chamber of the water input tube and make sure your air tube is plugged in the collection cup... i can barely hear mine anymore...

I also had a micro bubble problem if i turned up my water flow for proper skimming... problem solved i wrapped a nylon stoking over the water return. Now i can boost up my water flow and all the air gets trapped in the stoking...

If you want more details or explanations i can post pics or will answer your questions no problem...

Hang onto the RS Prizm...I have a Sander / dinosaur air lift model that came out before Noah floated the Ark. I converted it to a powered system using the suction of my canister to pull the water down the tube. A standard wooden stone does the rest. I pull out about 75 ml of dark green gunk every day. It's run sweetly for one and a half months without a tweek or a failure. Watch the DIY space for the home made H.O.T. protein skimmer, heater and surface skimmer that is currently on the drawing board. Should be ready to test in a few weeks...or when I get around to slapping it together! I like the idea of the HOT systems, but just don't like the price.
