red sea prizm skimmer trouble

i recently started using my prizm skimmer again on my 55 gallon reef tank. this time i went to use it and it doesnt seem to be working right. i understand theres a break in period but i do not believe thats the problem. the skimmer fills up fine and produces micro bubbles but nothing is going into the waste area of the skimmer even when the air flow valve is open all the way. the skimmer has been going for about three days now and its still does not seem to be working right. when i had first gotton the skimmer a ton of water entered the waste area until i tuned the skimmer and then for a few days it wasnt pulling out any waste then it started too so on and so forth but now it does nothing. i also have checked everything on the skimmer but still nothing. please help me.

ps. i can not get ANYTHING to enter the waste area not even unskimmed tank water

 

Check the airline inside the intake. If it gets clogged at all it won't take in enough air to allow skimmer to work properly.
