Ok, now i know last week I defended this test, but after a few days of testing, my alk was level at 6.9 never high never lower. I decided to break out my older Sailfert test, which is still within the expiration dates of the reagents, and found my DKh to be at 9.1, which makes sense since I have been dosing 30-40ml of BRS 2 Part every night for over a week.

I then tested my Calcium levels. Red Sea has been testing increasing levels since I've been dosing 100-200ml a day and read 380ppm. My Sailfert test read 400ppm, which is not too far off.

I need to get an interdependent test to plot my third point of water chemistry, but I thought I would take back my statement earlier that the Red Sea Reef Foundation kit is stellar. I do like the testing vials much more, and if I trash the Red Sea kits, I will definently keep the vials and apparatus for my Sailfert reagents.

My LFS was zero help. They had a really old test kit from looks like 1982 and didn't know how to read it (not that I would trust the prognosis anyway) So I broke open my Alkalenity Test Solution bottle and ran my sailfert and red sea test.

7.2dKH solution tested at 9.4 under sailfert

7.2dKH solution tested at 7.4 under red sea

Guess I have my answer. Is there any way to order check fluid for dKH? I can't find any.
