No LFS for me. Closest one is 60 miles away. Will it hurt anything if these levels are accurate.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Look to your corals first, no signs of stress, growth and good color. Next time you mix up water for a water change test the newly mixed water before adding it to the tank. If the values remain at the higher end it could be that batch of mix.

Here are the values which Red Sea Pro should mix at:
    Red sea Red Sea Salt

I always match the salinity of the WC water with the tank water. Maybe my hydrometer is reading a little high. Next WC I may start mixing it lower and seeing what happens. My corals are doing good. Not sure about the SPS though. I've never had any so don't have anything to compare them to.

Just checked the SG and this is what I got. Have no idea how it's that low. I ways mix it at 1.026 during a WC. [IMG]

Just watched another video and found my mistake. I was counting where the liquid stopped at when getting the desired color. I was supposed to count from the bottom of the black plunger thing that is about the liquid. I was forgetting that there was liquid still in the tip. I'll do it all again.

Yup that makes perfect sense and was where I was trying to go with my questions about reading the results.

Yep. I was reading it right when filling the syringe but forgetting to go by the black thing in the plunger when reading the results. So I guess I was doing it 50 % right. Lol. Kinda explains the high results now.

After retesting this morning I actually was doing the reading from the bottom of the black plunger in the syringe. My calcium level couldn't even be measured with this test. After using the whole 1ml syringe the color was only dark pink. It has to go from pink to purple to blue. So my calcium is well over 500. Didn't even test the other two. I gave up.

PH looks to be a little low. Always seems to be on the low side. [IMG]

You're testing in the am for pH, test again in the pm at the end of the lighting period and look for the difference between the two values. Roughly 8.0 is not a bad value anyways.
